Software AG Research at the National IT Summit: Living research in future-oriented use cases

Darmstadt, Germany, 11/14/2016

Software AG (Frankfurt TecDAX: SOW) is being represented with two research projects at the National IT Summit in Saarbrücken, Germany. On November 16, 2016, the software company is joining forces with alliance partners Limbic Entertainment and University of Siegen to present “ELISE,” a research project launched back in March, as part of the IT Summit’s Digital Education side conference. ELISE is a project to develop an interactive and emotion-sensitive learning system for developing expertise in the area of business process management.

In building E2.1 on the campus of Saarbrücken University, conference attendees can gain some experience with virtual reality (VR). Equipped with VR goggles, two hand controllers and sensors, they can move around in a virtual space. This demonstrator is one of the first preliminary stages for three-dimensional and multimedia-visualized business processes with the ARIS product family, the market leader in business process design and analysis. In the future, learners will pass through and play through business models (process walkthrough and serious gaming) with the help of a hardware-software system.
